The creator and originator of EasyLanguage, and former Senior Programmer of Omega Research,Inc. has written the definitive guide to help TradeStation users master the use of EasyLanguage. This book starts at the basics covered in the users manual but goes much, much farther with a great many examples, solutions to common problems and a wealth of programming tips. There is also a substantial section of templates, user functions, and other useful code. The editorial style and teaching approach demystify this difficult subject. A "Must Read" for all users!

Personally, reading "Ask Mr. EasyLanguage" by Samuel K. Tennis was reminiscent of my childhood, when a professional magician showed me the inner workings of a parlor trick. "Ask Mr. EasyLanguage" in clear language lifts the veil from the mystery of programming and shows you how to do it yourself. Reading it actually gave me an idea that led to the construction my best system. Thank you, Sam. This book really is worth its weight in gold.

"Ask Mr. Easy Language" satisfies a void for TradeStation users, and no one is more qualified to write it than Sam Tennis. There are plenty of tips, techniques, and code that will benefit EasyLanguage programmers of all levels. A "must-have" book for all TradeStation users.

Dear Mr. Tennis,

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I have enjoyed your new book and how valuable it has been to me. As a consultant I am well versed in the use of EasyLanguage but I still found an abundance of useful "nuggets". For example this is the first useful explanation of AT$ operator that I have seen. Also the use of Expert Commentary for debugging is one of those obvious things that make us say "Why didn't I think of that?". But probably the greatest value will be to relative newcomers to EasyLanguage. Once they get beyond the fundamentals the multitude of examples and complete code listings provide a real treasure trove of information and inspiration. This should open up a world of new possibilities and ideas for them to explore. Of course it will also allow them to communicate their ideas effectively to a consultant if needed!

Best regards,

After reviewing Sam's newly published book Ask Mr. EasyLanguage I have to wonder why didn't Omega contract him to write their documentation. My life as a multiple registered TraderStation owner would have been much easier all these years. Lots of answers to many nagging questions I have had for years are found here. In fact I would rate it a Great Book! It definitely is to EasyLanguage what Perry Kaufman's books are to Technical Analysis. I have no connection whatsoever as many know to Sam, just giving credit where it's due.

Omega Research has written (finally) a very good EasyLanguage Reference Manual.
