Q01) Adding a second data stream (Data2) to a chart.
A02) To add a second data series (Data2) to a chart follow the simple steps below.
Click on "Insert", "Symbol", select your symbol and make sure the "Replace selected symbol" line (near bottom of dialog) is NOT checked.
You might want to click the "Prompt for format" line, if it is not checked by default.
Complete the "Format" dialog exactly like any other chart.
On TS6 see the "General" tab. On TS5 [2000i] see the "Properties" tab.
This is where you can specify whether to display the second data series on teh chart, or move it to "Subgraph Hideen".
Q02) I am trying to plot Daily Moving Average (for example: 20 Day MA) on an Intra-day chart (say 5 mnutes chart). Can somebody share the Easy-language code or give hint to do this. I am very new to Tradestation and Easy Langauge. Any help is highly appreciated.
A02) The easiest way is to add a second (Daily) data series (Data2) to the chart.
To do this, click on "Insert", "Symbol", and make sure the "Replace active symbol" line is NOT checked.
Now you can add your Moving Average study, or any other study you want. When prompted (or select "Format", "Analysis Techniques" if it skips through the "Format" dialog) click on the "Properties" [TS2000i] or "Data" [TS6] tab and for "Base study on" select "Data2".
Additionally, you can control whether it [the average] is displayed with the daily bars, or on top of the Intra-Day bars. You can also choose (in this same dialog box) to display the daily bars in "Sub-graph Hidden" - but this would make it very difficult to overlay the Average on the daily bars! ;=)
Q03) Scrolling through my chart less than a full screen at a time.
Q04) Losing your Input values, or columns to wide to be closed up, on Format dialog.
A04) You can go to the TS 2000i
site and click on "International Support",
then "Support" (??) then "Knowledge Base".
Select your product and search for "Input width".
Or you can just click here...
Q05) Change your name from "Valued Gateway Customer" in MS-Word and other places.
